Partnering with Families Workshop Series

Our Partnering With Families series is a great way to nurture family engagement at your centre. Each session helps families understand and apply the social and emotional practices used at your centre. We encourage you to utilize these webinars together with families, whether in-person or using an online format.

Each workshop comes with the following resources:

  • Facilitator guide – The facilitator guide outlines content covered in each session, and can support your dialogue with families as you host the webinar.
  • Handouts – there are several handouts for each session that you may want to share with families as you host each webinar. These resources will allow families to continue using the social and emotional practices discussed in each session.

Please reach out to your coach or to ASaP if you have any questions or require further support.

Staff Meeting Refreshers (Coming Soon!)

Team meetings are great opportunities to re-visit and reflect on pyramid practices over time. We have pre-recorded several webinars that focus on some of the top pyramid practices that educators set goals around for their learning environments. We encourage you to utilize these webinars together with educators, whether in-person or using an online format.

Each workshop comes with the following resources:

  • Handouts – there are various handouts for each session that educators may use during or after each session.
  • Action plan – we know that learning stays alive when there is a plan in place! Each session ends with time for educators to reflect on their current practices and where they would like to move next, which may include setting a new goal and creating an action plan.
  • Instructional playbook – ASaP’s instructional playbooks for pyramid practices can support educators as they put their action plan into place. They remind educators of the importance of each pyramid practice, and include a checklist to make sure the pyramid practices are use in an intentional way.
  • PowerPoint – we’ve included the PowerPoint on which each webinar is based. Over time, we encourage you to make it your own! You may want to use your own photos, add slides to link pyramid practices with other frameworks (e.g. Flight, Playing to Learn)

Please reach out to your coach or to ASaP if you have any questions or require further support.
